Tell us what is going wrong — rent, a bill, food, benefits paperwork, finding work, an interpreter, anything — and a caseworker will get back to you. You do not have to know what kind of help you need, and you do not have to ask for money to ask for help.
Everything you write is confidential and read only by USEF welfare staff.
We sit with you and file the application: CalFresh, Medi-Cal, CalWORKs, WIC, and the rest. Help with letters, forms and documents in your own language.
English, Spanish, Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Punjabi and Urdu/Hindi. Interpretation for appointments, and documents read or written with you.

The General Relief Fund is open to everyone in need, whatever their faith. It is how we help a neighbour the zakat rules do not cover.
Asking for help never requires you to say your faith. The question is optional, changes nothing about how we treat you, and only tells us which fund we are allowed to use.
100% of zakat goes directly to verified recipients — never to salaries, marketing or events. USEF relies on community members like you.
