USEF is designed for long-term sustainability through a Waqf (Islamic endowment) model. A Waqf is a charitable endowment in Islamic law: a permanent, inalienable fund whose principal is preserved while the returns fund ongoing charitable works. This is the mechanism behind sadaqah jariyah, charity that continues to benefit long after the initial contribution.
