Working so that growing older in our community does not mean losing independence.
This lab exists so that the elders of our community keep their strength, their mobility and their independence for as long as possible.
What a family is able to put on the table shapes what an older person’s body can still do. In our communities that connection is rarely studied and rarely acted on. This lab works to understand it and to build the kind of support that keeps people living on their own terms, in their own homes, surrounded by the people who love them.
It is a young lab, established in 2026 alongside the Center, and it is building its team now.
This lab is setting up its first projects. Watch this space, or get in touch to be part of them.
If healthy ageing, nutrition or food security is something you fund, we would be glad to show you what this lab is building and who it reaches.
We welcome investigators, dietitians and clinicians in nutrition, geriatrics and rehabilitation who want to work with communities research rarely reaches.
Join this lab and take on real research alongside our team. No prior research experience is required.
